A Positive Attitude Toward Change

Happy Monday! The start of a new week. I have not written in awhile, feeling this block in my life. Where is life taking me? Where will I end up? What is it that I truly desire?

So I set my intentions on a new path; one that is unknown to me. Taking a leap of faith. I am studying about the Assisted Living population. I never imagined a shift of this kind but feel this strong pull to educate myself and learn. My life path has always been one of nurturing, from learning to cook at an early age, teaching young children and teens about cooking and preserving; about agriculture and sustainability, living off the land; while managing two businesses and raising a family.

Life…… What is it to you? Do you have goals but have obligations that are getting in the way? Do you wish to change the path you are on but afraid to ask yourself that question? Or feel stuck in a job, in a relationship, in a hole that is swallowing you up? Well if you are or have ever been in any of these situations, it’s called Life. Every day is a new challenge of some kind. It is a day of learning if you choose to open your eyes and heart and see it. Every day you cross someones path that needs a smile or a hug or a push to have a better day. I am blessed to live where I live. I am blessed to have so many loving people surrounding my life. I am blessed for my past and future and chose to see each day as a new beginning. Sometimes it’s hard to get going but I take on the challenge.

I realized something this morning as I looked inward to myself. If you love it enough, if your choice is to love unconditionally, to only see love; love with follow you. You and only you choose the direction you want to take. Every day learn something new. Open that door for someone, smile your brilliant smile and learn along the way. The world is open to learn every single day. The road I have chosen is a challenge; a new opportunity to help others, to continue to nurture. I was reading a post from Maria Striver’s Sunday Paper https://mariashriver.com/sundaypaper/ and she opened with a quote from Buddha and left it with a prayer:

Dear God, please help me remember to value and appreciate the life you have given me and make the most of it. Whenever I feel lost or out of control, help me come back to myself and remember that you’ve given me all I need to move forward. Amen.

“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk our own path.” — Buddha

Prayers on Memorial Day

Today is a day of prayer and peace. It is also a day where family and friends gather to celebrate the start of the summer season. In my morning research I found this:

The law reads, in part, “The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe Memorial Day by praying, according to their individual religious faith, for permanent peace [and] designating a period of time on Memorial Day during which the people may unite in prayer for a permanent peace.”

So however you enjoy your day, take a moment to pray for peace and love in our world. Let us today (and everyday) honor those who sacrificed their lives so we may live a better life. To stop our judgement of others and chose to love one another and spread love. God’s creations big and small are all blessings.

Happy Memorial Day,

Spring Time Vibes- Poppy Super Bloom

Here in California it’s the first day of spring. This can be a symbol of re-growth. A symbol of new beginnings. A time to step outdoors as each day grows a little longer with a little more sunlight. With all the rain we have had this last season; it seems that mother nature is putting on quite the show for us. We can just sit in the silence and ground ourselves with the beauty that is our world.

I know that in some areas of our country there is flooding from too much rain. I pray for all those that are affected by the adverse effects of mother nature. But with this first day of spring let us remember all that is good in the world. All that we can be thankful for. All the blessings that surround us even when we can not see them. Open your eyes and your heart to love one another; to be able to respect each other even if you do not see through the same lens. We were created out of love; let’s spread that joy to others whenever we can. Take a look around you each day with love in your heart and maybe tomorrow will be a better world.

How to Start 2019 off Right

Jeanine on the Scene

As we come to the end of another year, go back to January, get your calendars out and reflect on the things you have accomplished, the trips you have taken, the weekends spent with friends, family, loved ones. Write down memories of each month. You will be surprised at all that has happened to you in one year and all the great memories you have made. The memories that you have created for a lifetime. The little things, the big things and the in between things. You will be amazed at how much you have done and how far you have gotten in a year.So give thanks, be blessed for this life on earth and love whole hearted, spreading love and joy in the world.

Now get out those 2019 calendars, get organized and start planning for an amazing New Year. The world is at your fingertips, grab it. Re-organize those closets, give away items that no longer serve you to someone who is in need.  Start Fresh.

May 2019 be a year of blessings, gratitude, achievements and please spread love wherever you wander. A smile is worth a Thousand Words.

  1. The first is to ALWAYS chose YOU.  See yourself in your true light and love what you see in the mirror everyday.
  2. Be a servant of love. God created you in your authentic self, to be a servant to spread love in the world.  Use your gifts.
  3. KEEP your GRATITUDE, YOUR FAITH, YOUR ABUNDANCE and journal daily on it.
  4. Be a teacher of love. When you chose this; love will follow you. Replace the thoughts of negative behavior in your mind, chose again and replace it with positive affirmations.
  5. Let go of your fears and ego and be still in your day. Set aside 5 or 10 minutes to sit in silence; to meditate or just be still.  You will be surprised at how this can greatly affect your thoughts and how you feel in your day.
